Benign Cyst in Right Kidney, Low Vitamin D Level, Should I Worried about PKD

About two months ago, the ultrasound showed that I have benign cyst in my right kidney. And the blood test revealed low vitamin D level.Should I worried about PKD?

Answer
The Doctor Answered:

PKD is an inherited disease, so far, there is no such a treatment or medicine can treatment it.

According to the report, you have benign cyst. But remember you should not ignore this phenomenon, as the cysts can increase both in quantities and sizes, under certain circumstances, a range of symptoms will occur finally. For example, back pain, abdominal pain, blood in urine, changes of urine and so on. If left untreated, renal failure will be the result. Therefore, early and effective treatments are very important.

As for low Vitamin D level, it is mainly caused by decline of kidney function. If poorly controlled, the risk of presenting renal bone disease will be increased. Except for certain medications, effective treatments are the key to the treatment. Here, hot compress therapy is a good choice. It is convenient, comfortable and free of side effects. By increasing the permeability of cyst walls, changing it’s inner and outer pressure, the cystic fluid will move into urine eventually. In this way, cysts are shrunk to an ideal size, various symptoms will be alleviated and renal function can be promoted. Anything unclear, you can also email to us:pkdclinic888@hotmail.com.
