Creatinine 2.6 And High Blood Pressure

I am 57 years old. I was detected with serum creatinine 2.6. And I had high blood pressure. What can I do to control them in normal range?

The Doctor Answered:

Your creatinine level is higher than the normal. And the reasonable range of creatinine level is 0.6-1.2mg/dL for men and 0.5-1.1mg/dL for women.

Given your illness condition, you should control your blood pressure at 130/80 mm Hg. Medications like ACEI or ARBs can help control your blood pressure.

Herbal medicines like dandelion root, nettle leaf tea can also be helpful in lowering high creatinine level. In daily life, you should take a low-protein and low-salt diet, because they can help relieve the burdens of damaged kidneys.

In addition, you are also suggested to avoid strenuous exercises, because muscle metabolism is the main source of creatinine in blood.

The above mentioned diet and medicines can help reduce high creatinine level without damaging the kidneys, and we sincerely hope that you can benefit from this. Good luck!
