Avoid Salty Foods
Patients with PKD are suggested to avoid salty foods. As PKD develops, the kidney function will decline. Kidneys work to filter the blood and remove the waste products and excessive water naturally. When kidneys are not function well, the waste products and water will build up in the body, causing High Creatinine Level and edema etc.
Salty foods contain plenty of sodium, which will cause water retention and worsen the edema on PKD patients.

High Cholesterol Foods: egg yolk, fish roe, liver, pate, foie gras, butter, shrimps, oil packed fish, cheese, shellfish etc.
