Diuresis Means Poor Kidney Function? Do Not Be MisguidedQuestions: Many person believe that a sign of poor renal function is once you drink some water you have to answer the natural’s call, go and back. Does it mean a poor renal condition when frequent pass urine?

Answer: Too frequent pass urine only shortly occur in acute kidney damage. And if your renal is really poor, what you may suffer is lack of urine. In that condition, you should go to do some examinations to diagnose weather you have renal disease or not. After all, lack of urine is a sign of renal disease, and without treatment, it can develop into renal failure or even uremia.

Then, we know there is no direct relation between frequent urine with renal problems, what is the normal daily urine volume? And the normal daily urine frequency?

There is two renal in our body and every day it will produce 180L primary urine, but due to the reabsorb function of renal, finally, there only pass 1 to 2 L urine per day. The urine volume is not so stable, when the weather is hot or you exercise much and sweats much without enough water intake, urine will become less, and if you do nothing but drink a lot of water, urine volume will increase.

If every time we pass 300-400ml urine, daily urine frequency should between 3 to 5 on average. If your daily urine frequency is 3 to 6 times and one or none at night, it is normal.

If you not pass urine 8 times every 24 hours, include 2 times at night, but the urine volume is less than 200ml every time, you have to watch out for your renal health.
