When a patient with chronic kidney failure needs the treatment of dialysis or not, it depends on patients’ primary disease, symptoms, complications, and the lab results etc.

Dialysis and Chronic Kidney Failure

Chronic kidney failure patients may be suggested to be on dialysis on certain conditions as follows.

- severe kidney damage

- serum creatinine level > 700umol/L

- urine output is little

- severe symptoms, such as water sodium retention, hyperkalemia, drowsiness, vomiting, haemorrhage, acidosis, edema, pulmonary edema

- severe complications, such as heart failure, obnubilation, cramps etc.

- severe hypertension

- severe diabetes

- severe SLE

- senior patient

- diabetic whose protein intake is less than 0.8g(kg.d)

However, besides the above conditions, patients with kidney failure can delay the dialysis with the following conditions.

If the patients have no severe symptoms and the creatinine level is less than 700umol/L, they can consider alternative treatments to dialysis.

What are the alternative treatments to dialysis?

Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is suggested, which is a new natural therapy that develops on the basis of Chinese Herbal Medicine. It uses certain specific herbs that are tonic to the kidneys. This therapy shows the following functions for Chronic Kidney Failure.

- repair the damaged kidney tissues
