Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) is a common inherited kidney problem and pass down from generation to generation. What is ADPKD?

ADPKD is the most common forms of Polycystic Kidney Disease and usually occurs in individuals and families worldwide and in all races. 2. If both the two parents are ADPKD sufferers, then their child has 75% chance to suffer from this disease.

Can I have a healthy baby with ADPKD?

It is possible for a woman with ADPKD to give birth to a health baby. We know a child with one parent suffering from ADPKD has 50% chance to develop this disease, which means the parents have 50% chance to give birth to a healthy baby. However, if both the two parents are ADPKD patients, they will have 25% chance to have a healthy baby.
