Why blood pressure is high after dialysis? It is well known that dialysis helps discharge metabolic wastes and toxins from the body to alleviate high toxic state temporarily, but it will also cause some complications. High blood pressure is one of the complications after dialysis. What is the cause and how to treat high blood pressure after dialysis?
1. Causes of high blood pressure in dialysis
Fluid retention
Healthy kidneys can discharge excess fluid out of the body. Failed kidneys cannot perform this function properly. In this condition, fluid will build up in the body, causing fluid overload. Fluid overload is one reason for high blood pressure.
EPO injection
Some dialysis patients receive EPO injection to alleviate renal anemia. But it in turn will increase blood pressure.
Excess wastes in blood
Damaged kidneys fail to keep balance of electrolyte and remove wastes in blood. These wastes will deposit in vascular wall and make blood vessels stiffer, which can also cause high blood pressure.
2. Treatment for high blood pressure after dialysis
If the treatment can reduce the dialysis frequency or even stop dialysis, high blood presusre and other side effects of dialysis can be alleviated. Here we recommend Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy which is one of the innovation of traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM). It has the function to dilate blood vessels so as to bring blood pressure down. Besides, the active ingredients can reach kidney lesion directly with the help of osmosis device and show effects in repairing kidney intrinsic cells and improving kidney function. When kidney function is improved, dialysis patients have a chance to recover dialysis frequency and eliminate dialysis.
