Kidney cyst refers to fluid collection in kidney which can cause severe painfeeling in lower back, groin and even upper abdomen. Severe pain feeling is the most common discomfort caused by kidney cyst, but some patients find they go to urinate more than before with a cyst in kidney. Why is this? Can kidney cyst cause frequent urination?
Actually kidney cyst is not harmful at all if it is in small size. Small kidney cyst causes no symptoms and it can be left alone. However, if it becomes very large, a series of discomforts will be caused. It is possible for kidney cyst patients experience frequent urination and this symptoms usually appears in the following conditions:
1. Urinary tract infection
People with kidney cyst are very likely to suffer from urinary tract infection which can cause frequent urination. In such a case, frequent urination is always accompanied with urge urination, burning sensation during urination and low urine volume.
2. Damage of renal tubule
Renal tubule is an important structure in the kidney and also a part of nephron. The renal tubule is responsible for reabsorption and secretion. It reabsorb most of the fluid and nutrients back to the body. For kidney cyst patients, when their renal tubules are damaged due to cyst in kidney, fluid that should be reabsorbed back to the body by renal tubules will get out of our body as urine. Under such a condition, frequent urination appears.
There are different causes for frequent urination in kidney, so kidney cyst patients need to firstly find out the real cause of this symptom and then take measures on the basis of it. Only treat this symptom from the root, can it be eliminate successfully and permanently.
