The end product of protein is urea nitrogen which need to be removed out of the body with kidney, so high urea nitrogen production is very harmful for kidney. Protein containted by egg white is high quality protein which can be fully consumed in the body and produce less wastes. For PKD patients, their kidney function is serious affected and can not bear heavy burden again. Therefore, high quality protein is better for them compared with general protein. Egg white contains high quality protein, so it is recommended for PKD patients.
York is a taboo for PKD patients
An egg is composed of egg white and york. Egg whilte is recommended for PKD patients, but york should be a taboo for them. In early stage of PKD, kidneys are mildly damaged, which is not serious enough to cause obvious physical discomforts and threaten one’s life. However, with PKD progression, kidney function keeps declining.

Severe protein leakage can lead to high levels of lipid in blood, which usually needs patients to avoid fatty foods. York is very high in cholesterol, so york is not recommended for PKD patients.
