1. Diet

2. Avoid strenuous exercise

4. Omega-3 intake

The ingestion of omega-3 fatty acids helps reduce inflammation and slows the progression of PKD.

5. Watch the caffeine

Caffeine may accelerate the progression of PKD by elevating blood pressure.

6. Eat high fiber carbohydrates

Studies have found that people with PKD and other kidney diseases may be mildly or acutely insulin resistant. High insulin levels are associated with heart disease and possibly faster rate of PKD progression.

The effective ingredients in Chinese medicines can inhibit the epithelial cells from secreting fluid any more, thus preventing cyst growth. Besides, Chinese herbs also can improve blood circulation so that fluid can be reabsorbed into blood vessels and then discharged by kidneys as urine.
