As we know, polycystic kidney disease is a genetic kidney disease, and there may be several PKD patients in a family if one has PKD in the family. Peter, whose sister was died from kidney failure caused by PKD, is unfortunately diagnosed with PKD after his sister died. In their country, there is no effective treatment to treat PKD, so Peter can only have regular tests to observe his illness condition. When Peter works at Nantong, China, he went to our hospital to have specific treatment.
Before he came into our hospital, his illness condition:
Creatinine: about 280 (3.1-3.2)
He has a big belly
Other symptoms are normal
In our hospital, he had 9 days systemic treatment, using the Chinese therapies such as medicated bath, foot bath therapy, moxibustion and oral Chinese medicines and Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy. This time, peter stayed in our hospital for 7 days, and received the systemic treatment, then his creatinine level came back into 250. And he still receive the treatment insistently, and his illness condition became better than before.
When Peter came back home, he follow the advices of our doctors and have treatment everyday, we believe, his illness will become much better than before, and we hope Peter will have a high life quality than before.
