2015-04-20 02:44

Question: My father is 65 years old and has polycystic kidney disease (PKD), currently, his creatinine level is 3.2. 3 years back, he had a kidney infection where his creatinine had reached 9 and we done 2-3 times dialysis and he came to normal. But currently his creatinine is 3.2 which is increasing gradually. Please give us treatment suggestions. Does he need to take dialysis? Thanks.

PKD, Creatinine 3.2: Please Give Treatment SuggestionsDoctor: From your description, I get the illness condition of your father. PKD is a genetic kidney disease with multiple cysts formed on kidneys, and the cysts will be increased and get enlarged over time. So it is an progressive kidney disease which will finally develop into end stage kidney disease without effective treatment.

You said he got infections 3 years ago and done dialysis to reduce the creatinine 9, then the creatinine level came to normal. I think it should be an acute kidney failure due to the infections, and it can be controlled well with the dialysis.

However, now his creatinine level is 3, which is increased gradually. This is mainly due to the kidney damage caused by enlargement of kidney cysts in PKD. So we need to take effective treatment to shrink the kidney cysts and improve kidney function, then the high creatinine 3.2 can be controlled well. Since his creatinine 3.2 is not so high now, so I don’t suggest him to take dialysis.

Here I recommend your father to take Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, which is the unique treatment inPeking Tung Shin Tang Chinese Medical Hospital. And the osmotherapy can help remove the fluid out from cyst and prevent the secretion of fluid from cyst wall, then it can shrink the kidney cysts effectively. Besides, it can also help repair impaired kidney tissues and improve the kidney function. Then it can help lower the creatinine 3.2 from root.

If you want to get more details of the treatment for your father. You can send his recent test reports to pkdtreatment169@gmail.com. I will help analysis it and then make a systemic treatment plan for your father.
