High blood pressure is a common complication of polycystic kidney disease. High potassium in jack fruit has been found to be helpful in the lowering of blood pressure and thus reducing the risk of heart attack as well as stroke. However, if patients have high potassium level in blood, they should not eat too much jack fruit. This is because high potassium level will worsen the medical conditions and lead to some effects like nausea, weakness, numbness and slow pulse.
